Tipjar version of "The Corporation"

The people behind the great yet very depressing documentary "The Corporation" have released a shareware version of their film with tipjar in hand. If you're one of the readers out there with a few cents to share this holiday season (based on delusion of course) then consider giving. This is part one.

"Six Days" by DJ Shadow

"Sweet Georgia Brown" Anita O Day

Jazz singer Anita O'Day died last week. I remember her for being really really high during the legendary Jazz on a Summer's Day performance. See if you can tell that she's "swinging" just a little too much. Love that cool Newport crowd by the way. If you're curious, here she talks about her drug habit and other things. Its part of an upcoming documentary.

"Carmine Street" Kaki King

Kaki King is doing her best Mimi Fox impression but it needs work. She's clearly not used to a band setting, but she'll get better. There are some flashes of genius that I've seen in these settings, but she's got to practice those scales, or at least the weird ass scales she would use in those wacked out altered tunings of hers. Beautiful melody though.

"The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins

Cool moments: When he talks about "faithheads" and mentions the Flying Spaghetti Monster by name. He expresses a kind of bafflement with scientists who are devout. Definitely understand that vibe. On the other hand, whenever I hear articulate British people talk on a chat show it reminds me of a Monty Python skit. Note the jazz intro.

Best Political Ad Ever.

The DNC should make this ad national because its really really catchy! It's not only great propaganda but a well done pop tune.

Best of Mahavishnu Orchestra Live

These are my fave Mahavishnu Orchestra clips. These three are from the BBC concert that featured 3 songs. This is probably the best recording of the Mahavishnu Orchestra.

Mars Underground

In case you live on a planet which will be destroyed by warring factions of invisible sky monster devotees, then you might want to look at a Planet B. I think Mars is that Planet B. Here's a trailer for the Mars Underground:
